Teaching at St. Mary’s this week, one of my students asked me why I don’t just use a metronome app and I laughed, but it got me thinking—everyone’s always looking for the *best* tool, the perfect setup, the golden patch for that peek at Kanchenjunga. Same with this Counter-Strike scene, everyone debating whether it’s the internet or the hardware or the coaching that’ll bring us back, but the real thing is just showing up, like me hauling that second-hand DSLR up to Tashi Viewpoint every Sunday, even if the mist hides the peak. Microphone static during a live stream or a missed spray in a 1v3—thik cha, fix what you can, stop waiting for some big revival and just play the damn note.
