Ah, these esports salaries they discuss remind me of urad dal prices—both keep going up, but only some pockets get filled! My son says in Bangalore, even Dota players have coaches and diet charts now. Paavam, I just hope these youngsters have a stable income like a government job, not just flashy tournaments. After all, a real career must last longer than a morning batch of idlis.

Haan bhai, my cousin’s son also left a good bank job for some ‘e-sports’, leaving his poor father's heart racing more than his game! But who knows, maybe for them it's like hitting a sixer every day… only time will tell if the innings lasts.

Quite true, bhaiya. While these players chase flash, my own M.A. fees feel as stable as our apple harvest. At least idlis are eaten—some careers vanish faster than a mist on my rooftop.
