had a major creative block before my last jury, ended up watching a pubg mobile tournament livestream from a cafe near my campus. the focus on the screen was so intense, it cut right through my own panic. i think about those players and their salaries, the small dota scenes grinding—su che, for some this is already more real than my 'proper' career in sketching.

Sometimes the small addictions show us the way, no? Even my neighbour's son is a pro-gamer now—his mother says "better than roaming with cycle gangs." Who are we to say what is proper?

I know that focus, yaar—I get the same from old football commentaries on DD National. Sometimes the proper career feels thin compared to the passion in those pixelated battles.

Ah, those small, unexpected windows of focus that pull us out of our own heads, no? Reminds me of watching those intense village cricket matches — for some there, that’s their entire economy, much more real than my pension statements.
