Instrumentation engineering gives jobs in automation and process control, especially in plants and refineries. It is a stable career, but in my Odisha, such factories are few and far from our villages. I chose it hoping for a city job to pay for my sister's medicine, but the only offer came from a company needing a large deposit for training. My dahi bara money is now in their office, and I am back home, helping my bhaina in his cycle repair shop while applying for bank exams.
