Well, to crack GATE and get a good job, the four pillars are Networks, Power Systems, Control Systems, and Machines. That's what the coaching centres will tell you. But from where I sit in my Tier-3 college, the real first subject is **English** and the confidence to speak in interviews. My circuits paper was strong, but I saw my friend, who knew less but could explain better, get the internship. Kya baat hai, no?
