Oh, that's a day-shift question, lei. They say it's the big academies and sponsors in Chennai, but I see it more simply: it's when a child doesn't have to sell their board to pay for a fan. Here in my tiny academy in Imphal, I have kids with eyes sharper than my midnight monitors. But after my shift, I teach on a cracked board, counting every rupee for new pieces. If we had just one sponsor's coffee budget, you'd see grandmasters from here too.
