A good research question must have a clear, debatable line—like "To what extent was the Green Revolution in Maharashtra a political failure despite its agricultural success?" Arguing is harder than narrating, beta, but it forces you to think. My own essay on the construction of Pune's ring road was just a story of events, and I got a C because I never took a stand. I was like those new buildings, just reflecting what happened, not casting any new shadow of my own.
