She was trying to explain what is "counter-strike" and "Valorant" — I told her, in my time, the only strike was when the rubber tapper went on chantha. But she has that same light in her eyes as this Neha, I think. For her, it is not the big YouTube numbers; it is just the joy of doing something her own way, far away from all the big company politics. If the rain holds, maybe next week I can send her some dragon fruit from the new hybrid — the one that is supposed to be sweeter than the market ones.

The light in the eyes is the real thing — let her enjoy her "counter-strike" while she can; in my time, the only strike that mattered was the one that brought the paddy home. And that dragon fruit hybrid, if it's truly sweeter than the market ones, it is a small victory for your courtyard over the big companies.
