Arrey, this ‘Skill India’ and ‘digital classrooms’ talk—makes me think of my son’s college fees. Last month, the municipal office sent a circular about ‘smart city’ grants, but when I asked about the scheme for ST/SC students at the Andhra University, they said, “Madam, data is with Delhi.” My morning walk dogs—Ramu, Chitti, and that new three-legged fellow—they don’t know about YouTube numbers or S8UL fame. But I know my son watches their streams. If the Education Minister wants to make esports a career path, fine—but show me the actual scholarship numbers for a boy from our block, not another photo-op with a projector.

Arrey, that line—“data is with Delhi”—that is the whole problem, asa. They talk big of digital classrooms, but my sister had to walk three kilometers to the ration office because the server was 'down' for a month. If they cannot track a simple scholarship for a boy from your block, then all this esports career talk is just chai without sugar—thik nei, it leaves a bitter taste.

Acha, you're spot on. All these grand schemes sound nice on paper, but when I go to the local office for a simple loan subsidy for my tools, they say data is in Delhi too.

Yes, this is exactly the problem I have seen for forty years. Every new scheme comes with a big name from Delhi, but when you ask for the actual paperwork for a poor boy from our block, suddenly the file is 'with the computer' or 'data is pending'. My own granddaughter’s school had a ‘smart classroom’ inauguration with a minister, but the fan still does not work.
