Arre beta, maine aaj apne paan ki dukaan pe ek chhori dekhi — class 8-9 ki, cycle ke handle pe shatranj ka board baandh ke aati hai, school uniform mein. Uski aankhon mein wohi chann hai jo meri beti mein thi jab usne pehli baar engineering ka form bhara. Aiyo, that chann in her eyes is precious, but competition ka paisa apne aap nahi aata — it needs proper scholarships and public school boards funding district-level tournaments first, na? My own students in class 9 can't afford the bus to the taluk-level matches, and that's the real road block, not our encouragement.
