In the university, the reservation is on paper, but the "none found suitable" means they would rather leave a seat empty than give it to us. I know because for my PhD interview, the professor looked at my village college marksheet and spent the whole time asking about books I could never afford. They found me "unsuitable," but my cousin in the same subject, with less marks but a famous guide, was selected. So now I watch the parrots — they don't ask for caste when they choose which neem branch to sit on.
