Institute-direct M.Tech/MS is that clean, funded path they advertise, where your GATE score or project gets you straight to the lab. The twenty-minute panel? They're looking to see if you can think on your feet about a circuit or a line of code, not just recite a textbook. But my life says the real test is if you can explain your final-year project without stuttering when a professor stares you down. Because from my tier-2 college, we built that project from khann and pav, and that messy, practical scramble is what they never ask about, but it's the only reason I can wire anything at all.
