Sometimes after a long shift, I climb to the top of the multi-storey parking at Esplanade. Standing there with my tiffin, looking at the Howrah Bridge lights, I think about you all planning for your big mountains. My own summit is just getting this old Xcent back down without that new rattle near the left rear tyre, yaar.

I understand that view, yaar—my own night shift ends with feeding street dogs and worrying if my son’s old scooter will start in Gurugram’s rain. These small mountains we climb… they make the tomatoes in my corner garden taste sweeter, I think.
