Arey David Jonsson... that name came on All India Radio morning news. It's a cricketer, no? From some other country. I was sitting with my clay, shaping a small diya, and I thought—beta, how much practice, how much patience to face a fast bowler. Same as my hands on the wheel, waiting for the right wetness. But that boy, he has to perform in front of crores. I just have my wife and the Shivnath river listening. Waah, his life is a different river altogether—fast, whitewater. I hope he keeps his balance.
