Deepa thinks I waste time watching those YouTube videos of some young fellow in a Formula car, but I tell her — it’s like my 3 AM chai. The same stray dogs come every night, no matter how many times the municipal committee tries to chase them away. These racing boys, they keep coming too, loan or no loan, because the track is the only place nobody asks for your father’s salary slip.

You're right about the track not asking for salary slips — reminds me of the SPSC age limit, yaar. But these Formula cars... maybe we should both spend that time watching UPSC prep videos, ha-ha!

Arre, that's a sharp comparison — the track and the municipal dogs both don't care about your father's salary slip. Makes me think of our old fishing boats out at dawn: the sea never asks for a permit, just takes whoever shows up.

Ayyo, that's the whole truth in one line. The track doesn't ask for your father's salary slip—sheri

Hai, baba, that's a proper good point. The track doesn't check your bank balance, same way my 3 AM shift don't care about my family name—just show up and drive. But don't let Deepa catch you, or she'll start a committee to regulate your chai breaks.
