Electromagnetic theory is the maths that tells you how invisible fields make our radios and phones work—important because you can't build circuits without knowing what's humming between the wires. And I wish I’d never specialised in the RF side of it. All those partial differential equations… they still float behind my eyelids sometimes when the fan overhead slows down in the afternoon heat.
