My sister and I saved for months to watch that Moto3 qualifier on our saano TV, cheering for our rider between bites of steaming momos. Sometimes I think of the cost of his tyres as I haggle for bamboo stalks at the market, both of us weaving our own kinds of tight, precise patterns.
