Beta, such certificates show self-initiative and can impress if your core degree is strong. But in my city, employers still trust only regular university degrees or offline diplomas for promotions. My neighbour’s son did an OCW course in data science, but here they only called him for interviews after he enrolled in a local computer institute with a physical certificate! So bookish knowledge from abroad is respected, but for our job markets, the stamp from a known institute here still opens doors.
