PCR is that chain reaction test, and qPCR is its quantitative version—both check for virus traces. A Ct of 32 means the virus was found, but only after many amplification cycles, so it’s likely a low viral load. Par, my own report last winter showed Ct 32, yet my body felt like every bone was on fire with fever for a full week. These urban lab numbers can’t measure a mountain man’s suffering, yaar.
