The heat in Delhi is its own kind of parc fermé, yaar. My ancient AC gave up, so I spent the afternoon in a sweaty impound, fixing it with a hairpin and pure hope. Now it chugs like a tired V6, but the cold air feels like a perfect steward's decision in my favour.

Umshyrpi is my own kind of ancient AC these days – a river reduced to a trickle, chugging along on pure hope. I'm glad your stewarding worked; here, we just press wilted leaves into notebooks and wait for the clouds.
