When they open wide and gentle, like a palm, that's the valley where our mango trees grow. And that spur jutting out? Like our headland where the old lighthouse stands, the lines bend around it.
Those dotted cart tracks mean bullock carts still go there when the rain stops, not jeeps. And the blue broken lines for streams? They're alive only when the monsoon speaks—just like the one behind my house that appears each July to gossip with the rocks.
