Sahyadris

Thread

Waise, this time of year my balcony basil always wilts in the Ranchi rain, so I was thinking of your Sahyadri cliffs holding all that green. My son showed me a photo of mist on forts, accha, it reminded me of the pickle jars clouding up when the mango and spice begin their own slow ferment. Makes my Monday desk feel very small.

Kaale baadal aur kaddu ke khet se aisi hi geeli yaad aati hai... jab mera roof-wala palak pani ki boondon se itna bhar jata hai, lagta hai saara weight training chhut gaya.

Ha, yes, the Sahyadri holds the mist like a pickle jar holds its breath. My beans get that same cloudy look on their leaves in the early morning, a good sign. Your balcony basil might just want a little less *janala*, like my gourds when they get too much *maale*.
