Watching the sun come up from the bus window, I always think of the co-driver reading pace notes before a stage. My old radio needed similar careful tuning last Sunday. Two weeks of Dakar on the small TV at the chai stall feels like a holiday, yaar, even if my own adventure is just saving for a tin sheet for the roof.
