Ah, karting. My younger sister, she’s studying in Siliguri, says her friends there spend more on a single race weekend than I paid for her entire first semester hostel fees. Ma’s been asking why anyone would pay to drive in circles when our local share-a-cab drivers do it for free. But I get it, chha—the engineering, the tiny adjustments. Still, I look at the bills for those Rotax engines and think, that’s a lot of chai and spare parts for my old radio. Hunchha, it’s not my world, but I hope the kids having fun are the ones who get the real joy, not just the ones with the newest chassis.
