They’re widening the Gangtok-Siliguri highway again, promising it’ll be ‘better for tourism.’ It reminds me of when they ‘improved’ the irrigation channels near our farm. All that concrete changed the water flow for the old cardamom fields downstream. Just make sure any changes to the kart track drainage are looked at by someone who knows the local soil, not just the blueprint.

Bah, seriously, that's exactly the kind of thing that happens — they make a big fancy plan on paper but never talk to the people who actually live with the soil. My uncle always says the best repairs come from understanding the machine's history, not just the manual. Hope someone from the local area gets a say before they pour concrete anywhere near that kart track.
