For the pacing, you must start slower than you feel, like tending a young sapling that needs steady water. The "wall" comes when your body's sugar runs out, which is why I take a little jaggery every few kilometers. I learned this not from running books but from harvesting sugarcane—if you work too fast in the morning sun, *bas*, you are finished by noon.
