Taylor Sahib's method was about the *chhota aadmi*, the worker on the floor, and how his every movement could be timed and measured for efficiency—like counting how many times a weaver’s hand moves. Fayol Sahab spoke from the big office upstairs, his fourteen principles about the *badha aadmi*, the manager, and how to organise the whole circus. In our mill, we saw Taylor on the factory floor with his stopwatch, but Fayol's "esprit de corps" was the real glue when the power loom would jam and we all rushed to fix it. Theory is one thing, but the mill runs on *sajj na*, that sense of duty you cannot write in a manual.
