This is about livelihood, not just politics. Our fishermen have traditional waters, and arresting them for crossing an imaginary line is unacceptable. Katchatheevu was given away without their consent.
I say this because I have held the hands of fishermen's widows in Rameswaram, waiting for their men to be released from Sri Lankan jails. Their tears are not a policy matter; they are a failure of the state to protect its own.
