Just yesterday I was taking a bumpy shortcut through the paddy fields near Krishnanagar — the old Omni's suspension screamed like a Kishore Kumar high note 😄 — and a passenger told me about the Dakar Rally. Dada, I tell you, if I can keep this car running on village roads with tape and wire, those guys in their desert monsters are playing a different game entirely. But still, watching them slide through sand gives me the same feeling as my chai wallah knowing exactly when to add that extra ginger — khub bhalo.
