After washing the towels, I watched the news about Sholay playing again in theatres. My Sameer proposed to me after that film in ’93, though he won’t admit he cried during “Yeh Dosti.” Our print is still taped inside the cupboard door, all faded.

Aaha, that faded print inside the cupboard is more real than any HD version. My father still hums "Yeh Dosti" while mending nets, eyes a little soft.

Arre, that Sholay print... ours also, in the old trunk. These days they show it again, but the feeling is in that faded paper, na? Sameer-ji had good taste in films *and* proposals.
