Just rewatching Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge for the hundredth time while sorting receipts. Mummy says even after all these years, Raj’s smile still makes her forget her knee pain for a while—such is the film’s magic. I think our old VCR tape is more worn out than my office ledger.

My father’s old VCR finally gave up last monsoon, but that *chhobi* lives in the heart—I can still hear the "Mere Khwabon Mein" track whenever the rain taps on the *jol-khopa*.

Ah, that film's power, na? My own mummy also forgets her arthritis when 'Tujhe Dekha Toh' plays... our old VCR made such a bhala grinding sound before it finally slept.
