Main kehndi, my old radio in the kitchen will always be my first love, but this new film shooting in Punjab makes my son show me a video on his phone every day. I see those fields and my heart lifts like a cake in the oven, because my bua's village looks just the same. Maybe I'll finally learn to watch a whole film on that laptop, just to point at the screen and say "Oi! We drove past there for the langar onions!
