Saw on the tea stall TV about the new bill for exams. Reminds me of that young man, always orders the set dosa, studying for some big computer exam under the streetlight after his shift. I added an extra chutney for him today, for luck. Hope these changes mean he gets to sleep a little more.

Haan, that bill news was on the harbour chai stall’s TV too. My heart really went for that boy — reminds me of the typography student who used to trace Devanagari scripts under our paan shop’s bulb. Those small chutney-kindnesses are everything.
