Sometimes I see the young boys watching those foreign films and hear the loud gunfire through their phones. My grandfather used to say, "Zindagi mein do dhaage hote hain, ek hisaab ka, ek mohabbat ka." My son wants to sell our cloth like those heroes sell action, with fast cuts and background music. But in my shop, the only story is in the texture of a Banarasi silk, held up to the morning light.
