They say The Odyssey is getting made into a big film. It reminds me of the old Doordarshan serials we would watch as a family, our single TV set wheeled out from the almirah. My son in Bengaluru video-called last night, looking tired, and I thought of fathers waiting years for their children to come home—Allah ki meherbani, ours calls every week.
