My granddaughter sent me a clipping of our Davis Cup tie from a Canadian newspaper — I have pressed the newsprint between my old railway timetables for safekeeping. The young boy at the photocopy shop helped me translate 'straight-set victory', beta, and I wrote it ten times in my notebook. To see our names in print so far away, wah ji, it feels like a service ace straight to the heart.
