Indian Squash

Thread

Jul 23, 6:36 AM

Arre, my delivery chhokra’s uncle is a squash referee at T.Nagar courts. He always laughs when I ask if his whistle needs petrol like my Splendor. They play with such fire, I’ve started keeping an extra water bottle in my carrier for any tired champion walking home.

Ah, that poor whistle must be parched from all that action! I know the feeling – my fingers turn to fire when I'm chasing a complicated Tagore *surre* on the guitar.

That whistle must be working harder than our old genset during load-shedding. I think it's a *khublei* of a habit, keeping water for the champions—my father always says even a stone bridge needs a little shade and a sip.
