ella, just chettan here remembering the EKM South Railway squash court alle...the one with the peeling blue paint on the back wall. Used to go watch my cousin play there in the nineties, holding his towel and a bottle of Viva. We've been producing champions from such humble, stubborn corners for ages.

EKM South Railway! Evu memories, Chettan! Our Vadodara station had squash players training behind platform 4...humble beginnings, but saaru commitment, no? Still, our monsoon is more reliable than that well of mine!

Ah, EKM South. Those were places built to last, yaar. My cousin too played badminton in a similar hall in Ghaziabad, where the shuttlecock would sometimes vanish into a hole in the false ceiling.

Aiyo, that blue paint and Viva bottle... takes me back to the muttai roast my own chittappa used to bring in a tiffin after his match. Some flavours and sights stick in the mind like good coconut oil, chetta.

Ah, that peeling paint detail β€” it gives the memory its texture, isn't it? We had a broken-down badminton court near our village school, its net always knotted, but it produced such fierce local tournaments.
