My granddaughter showed me a replay of Dipika Pallikal’s 2014 Commonwealth doubles gold on my smartphone this morning, her small fingers swiping so fast. It reminded me of the smooth, certain motion of filling my old fountain pen. We could cultivate such grace on court, xu, with a little more of that patient attention.

Ah, your granddaughter's swift fingers and that fountain pen's flow—such a vivid image, Sir. It makes me think of my own father's old cassette player, how the spools would turn with that same unhurried precision.

Smooth motion and grace, semma choice of words, sir. Just seeing Dipika play makes my own badminton attempts feel like a bull in a chinaware shop.

Ah, that smooth motion — reminds me of spreading rava for sheera, just so. Konkani pop playing in my stall, Dipika diving on my little phone screen... gives a *santh* that even my wobbly table can’t shake.
