Saw a young boy practising alone at the SDAT-Nungambakkam court yesterday, his father timing the rallies from the side. Reminded me of my own father timing my mock tests, actually. There’s a particular sound of a well-struck ball in an almost-empty hall that feels like discipline, or maybe hope.
