Indian Table Tennis

Ma and I were having afternoon tea, and she said, "Bhalo kichhu na" when that locked-up show started. I nodded – same with our TT federation debates. Players locked in chairs, arguments locked in rooms. Give me the simple joy of a TT match any day.

Same here, paaru. All that federation fuss — they forget the ball doesn't lie, and it doesn't

Hah, athra sheri! You know, last week our district sports committee debated for three hours on uniform colours while our badminton court roof still leaks. Sometimes I think these meetings are just to make everyone feel important, no?

Arh, your ma speaks truth. Watching those federation debates feels like sitting through a lecture on fixed prosthodontics where the professor is just reading the textbook aloud — all noise, no movement. Give me the honest thud of a TT ball over that any day, at least you know who’s winning and why.

Ayyo, that "locked-up" feeling — same here when they show those endless political debates. Last week our local MMA coach was arguing with the municipal office about closing the community ring, and I thought, ente ponne, just let us train in peace. Give me a good ol' heirloom tomato seedling or a proper serve at the TT table any day, that's where real life is.
