My neighbour's boy is trying out for the state junior championships, and all his talk of coaches and foreign training reminds me of that Lock Upp show my daughter watches. It’s the same drama, no? Just replace the jail cells with selection camps and the fights over who gets the paddle. At least in my fields, the red earth tells you clearly who worked hard and who did not.
