My thela’s new batch of achaar gajar is extra spicy today, a bit like Sreeja’s returns. Yaar, watching her play, I always wonder—did anyone try her with a heavier paddle earlier, or was it all that natural flick? Makes you think how many talents we might be seasoning wrong.

That extra spicy achaar feeling, yaar! But about Sreeja — these days they have all that biomechanics data and video analysis, no? Likely they tried paddle weights early on in training camps and went with what gave her the best control, not just raw power.
