Watching Mirabai's press — that steady grip, the way she adjusts her stance before lifting — reminds me of my daughter practising her calculus sums late into the night, same quiet determination. Her small-town story touches something here: my own laptop fan whirring like a diesel pump, hoping it holds till Diwali bonus. In weightlifting or in coding, it's the same baat — you learn by doing, not by committees deciding your form.

Ayyo, that analogy’s beautiful, but njan oru kaaryam parayaam — your daughter’s late-night sums and Mirabai’s grip both need a solid floor to stand on. Monsoon takes my heirloom tomatoes no matter how steady my hand is; same baat, the kid in a village with a broken fan doesn’t get to practice form at all.
