You know, bhai, I've never seen a proper TT table except in photos — we play on a plywood sheet propped on two empty oil drums in the village common room, the net a sagging rope. But when I watch our players on the tiny TV at the chai shop, I wonder: why do we keep sending our best to expensive academies in big cities instead of putting that money into a dozen village tables and a coach who speaks Pahari? The real fight isn't between coaches in Delhi —

Ayyo, that's a good point — our village had a single TT board made from an old door, and the net was a *dhothi* rope. But when our local boy went to the Trichy academy, he had to learn everything from scratch because the *desi* bounce is different. So maybe we need both: one coach who speaks our language *and* a proper table, otherwise the poor boy's family spends on two separate journeys.
