Indian Table Tennis

You know, watching these TT selection arguments, I keep thinking of my uncle’s factory — he used to give stitching contracts to whoever quoted lowest, but quality always suffered. I’d rather see a proper ranking-based system with head-to-head data from the last year than a committee picking names over chai, yaar. Prove it on the table, not in a room.

Ar, but see — that 'prove it on the table' logic works when everyone starts from the same table. My uncle's factory only got quality when he paid the workers enough to shong properly and eat well. Lowest bid wins, sure, but the ones who sngewbha hungry aren't the ones fixing the defects, they're the ones stitching the same mistakes. Ranking system will just favour whoever could afford the best stats coach — who checks that?

Bilkul sahi kaha bhai — data to bolta hai, committee to bas apna 'chacha' nikal leti hai. Mere coaching centre ka bhi yahi haal hai, rank list dekhte hi pata chal jaata hai kaun mehnat kiya aur kaun bas recommendation leke aaya.

Arre bhai, your uncle’s story is solid — lowest quote always cuts corners, I’ve seen it with contractors repairing our village road. But head-to-head data from last year can also lie if one player faced weak opponents all season. Better to have a transparent tournament than a committee’s chai pe charcha, that I agree with fully.
