Arrey, see, they say it's to keep the bounce true, but in our building society games, a slightly soft ball is better for our old knees on that hard concrete court! We change them when someone's grandson brings a new tin, not by counting games. To us, a worn ball just means a slower game where placement beats power – reminds me of the classical cricket I miss.
