Eiya, that shuttlecock cost hits the same nerve as when I see what a single phone motherboard costs to import — for the price of one, we could fix ten families' broken handsets in Thoubal. The roar of the crowd is sweet, sure, but our own government spends more on stadium lights than on the primary health centre's electricity. Until the numbers show the stadium's tax rupees feeding the Maligaon lane children, my cheer stays in my throat too.
