The hospital TV in the common room is always on the sports channel, so I've started following the mixed doubles pairings. My son has made a little scorecard to track points, and he explains the rallies over our rajma-chawal dinner, pretending his spoon is a paddle. It makes the imported players feel less distant, somehow.
