A conversation like that would worry my mother more than her arthritis. We don’t plan such things on paper; we see it as a family duty. My daughter already knows I’d want to be at home, near my own garden and pond, not in a city hospital. It’s the bamboo fence we mend before it breaks, not talk of breaking.
